What is inseparable from self-responsibility,

only entrusted to the learned and tantamount to life itself?

Freedom!

I suppose that’s why so few of us claim it.

COMPLIANCE

The 2nd Amendment is not about gun ownership, hunting or the Constitution for that matter. It’s about preserving the balance of power between those in government and the people whom they supposedly serve. But in the rush to address this latest rash of murders the masses jump right out of the frying pan and into the fire.

The problem is that the historically challenged forget that they have far more to fear from the government than all the whack-jobs and twisted individuals our society possesses. Sure the indiscriminate murder of children is horrendous, but do you not remember Waco? The government killed 80 men, women and children with military weaponry; and for what? Where was the outrage then! This same government under Bush and his terrorist side-kick, Dick, invaded a sovereign nation that had nothing to do with anything and killed tens of thousands; many of them children. For what? Oil! This most current president, within weeks of accepting his ‘Nobel Peace Prize,’ launched a cruise missile into Yemen armed with an incendiary cluster bomb warhead no less, killing over 50 people; of which 21 were children! And he’s horrified by this most recent shooting and wants us to examine our consciences?

Can you not see past the hype and feigned outrage to the end-game here? This isn’t about saving children; nor mere registration. This is about an incremental tilting of the balance of power into the hands of those who actually believe that they possess greater wisdom, hence right, to better control your lives than you. And just to make sure he and his predecessor’s will is supreme, he’ll remove the very balance of power crucial to defending yourselves; from them! The very impetus for the 2nd Amendment.

The surest way to legitimize unlawful, if not wholly inequitable legislation, is compliance!

THE JEOPARDY RULE!

Those who embrace equity amongst men will never make demands of another, as to do so violates said equity. The only equitable manner in which to seek conformity is to respect the rights of others to agree or disagree accordingly and put it in the form of a question. Or in short follow THE JEOPARDY RULE!

21 CHILDREN
On December 17th, 2009 a US cruise missile armed with incendiary cluster-bomblets, that literally shred and burn flesh, landed in Yemen killing a number of human-beings. Allegedly some were al-Qaeda operatives. But the uncontested fact is that 14 women and 21 children died that day. The other uncontested fact is that the American president Barack Obama, with his Nobel Peace Prize freshly in hand, authorized said attack.
What are we to take from this? Ought we to ban cruise missiles? How about registering all cluster bombs? Maybe the Office of the Presidency should be abolished; if not prosecuted? Or perhaps we Americans should examine ourselves and the utter contempt of late we are exhibiting towards others and the law? But there’s never as much as a tweet about this is there? 20 American children die though and there’s no end to the political hype and disingenuous rhetoric brought in their names.
It seems transparent to anyone who cares to look that children are no match for cluster bomblets or the Washington political machine!

A SICK AND TWISTED SOCIETY

The events surrounding the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre say so much about us as a society. A young man, barely an adult, kills young children en masse, his mother and himself. After a momentary, and I do mean fleeting outpouring of sympathy though what does the national narrative latch on to; gun-control.

What the hell’s the matter with you people? Gun control; really? One of our youth kills children by the dozen and others indiscriminately and somehow more regulation into an already over regulated medium is going to make it all better. What loons!

The only thing worse than not doing anything at all is placing blame on anything and everything but where the blame lies. Guns kill people; got that. Duh, that’s why we humans invented them. But how on God’s green earth do you make the monumental jump from an instrument designed to kill to someone turning it on six year olds for Christ’s sake?

This isn’t about guns. This is about a sick mind that is capable of horror beyond belief; the killing of innocence. Does it really matter what medium was used as his instrument? An automobile driven through a crowded sidewalk or poison indiscriminately placed in commodities would make this not so horrific? Or as some lame broadcaster bemoaned some weeks ago, if there weren’t a gun do you really think that such a sick mind would just not kill?

What should be occupying the national narrative in this regard is not what weapon he used but what set him on a course to such depravity. Homicide is as old as man. And we humans have never been lacking in ways to kill our fellow man. Whether it is a rock, sword, arrow, baseball bat, poison or bomb, what does it matter? Unless we address the why you can regulate and outlaw whatever comes next. Until we address the true cause of such horrors we are simply inviting more of same.

In that regard perhaps a look in the mirror would be more on point. Certainly it couldn’t be those movies Hollywood makes millions on, which not only glorify mass killing but do so in 3D. It couldn’t be those myopic killing games that assign the highest score to the highest body count. Nor TV shows that bring depraved and graphic homicide into the home during prime-time no less; complete with bodily fluids, blood spatter patterns and body parts. Or better yet, the contrived wars we wage where innocent people, not the least of which include many children, die damn near every day. No, no; it couldn’t be any of that now could it?

It couldn’t be that we are simply A SICK AND TWISTED SOCIETY wholly incapable of accepting blame for what we ourselves have wrought.

PARTY ASSHATS!

Voting is not a right. It’s merely an obligatory duty in a republican form of government; one that has nothing to do with the individual rights delineated or un-enumerated in the Bill of Rights.

Meaning that if there were any Americans left who had the slightest clue what their rights were there wouldn’t be nearly the hype and attention we have surrounding this election business; because regardless of who occupies the Office of the Presidency, no individual can be forced, legally or otherwise, to give up his rights. As to elect to stand one’s ground in defense of their God given rights is the most determinative vote of all.

As for those Americans so polarized by this upcoming election and its dissociative narrative that they see only red or blue, give it up already. You’re going to do, or give up as the case may be, whatever you’re told, by whichever party is elected; essentially relegating yourselves nothing but a bunch of PARTY ASSHATS!
